Responsibilities

  • Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed construction cost estimates for transportation and infrastructure projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, scope documents, schedules, and technical data to develop accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing evaluations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and estimate validation throughout project planning and delivery phases.

  • Support preparation of executive-level reports, presentations, and program controls documentation related to project costs and budget status.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordination efforts involving cost management and program delivery activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of estimating or cost estimating experience supporting transportation, heavy civil, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Experience working on large-scale public-sector capital programs strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, cost analysis, quantity takeoffs, and project budgeting processes.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and project controls tools such as Primavera P6, RSMeans, HeavyBid, CostX, Sage, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting transportation, rail, tunnel, or complex infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
