What We Want The Assistant Athletics Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Athletics Internal Operations Office and its continual growth as a service to the Athletics Department. Additionally, the Assistant Athletics Director will assist the Associate Athletics Director with financial matters for the Athletics Department. Responsibilities

  • Internal Operations
  • Athletics Camp Coordination
  • Financial Reporting and Reconciliations
  • Budget
  • Assists the Associate AD for Internal Operations in budget development, management, and mitigation.
  • Analytical Projects and Expense Tracking
  • Oversee analytical projects for the athletics department as needed by the Associate AD for Internal Operations or another executive administrator.
  • Compliance
  • Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, SEC, and University rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years' athletics administration experience with higher-ed public or private financial experience.
  • Master's degree or higher in a business-related field.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Texas A&M System policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to gather and interpret data.
  • Cash and accrual basis accounting skills.
  • Strong customer service/relations skills.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong Excel or similar data analysis and applications tools.
