What We Want The Assistant Athletics Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Athletics Internal Operations Office and its continual growth as a service to the Athletics Department. Additionally, the Assistant Athletics Director will assist the Associate Athletics Director with financial matters for the Athletics Department. Responsibilities
- Internal Operations
- Athletics Camp Coordination
- Financial Reporting and Reconciliations
- Budget
- Assists the Associate AD for Internal Operations in budget development, management, and mitigation.
- Analytical Projects and Expense Tracking
- Oversee analytical projects for the athletics department as needed by the Associate AD for Internal Operations or another executive administrator.
- Compliance
- Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, SEC, and University rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years' athletics administration experience with higher-ed public or private financial experience.
- Master's degree or higher in a business-related field.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of Texas A&M System policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal communications skills.
- Ability to gather and interpret data.
- Cash and accrual basis accounting skills.
- Strong customer service/relations skills.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong Excel or similar data analysis and applications tools.
