Additional Information

Amazon's mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Customer360 is Amazon's centralized memory system that captures, reconciles, and makes retrievable everything we know about each customer across all Amazon experiences. This unified memory enables AI-powered personalized experiences where preferences stated once are understood everywhere - from shopping on Amazon.com, to watching on Prime Video, to talking with Alexa. As a builder in Customer360, you'll work at the intersection of large-scale data systems and AI. You'll design and build infrastructure that processes customer signals across Amazon, powers contextual retrieval for AI experiences, and enables privacy-by-default data sharing at scale. We're looking for an SDE II who can own and drive technical solutions end-to-end across ambiguous problem spaces. You'll lead the design and implementation of systems that serve hundreds of millions of customers - spanning real-time data pipelines, retrieval systems, privacy infrastructure, and AI integrations. You'll make architectural decisions that balance scale, latency, correctness, and privacy, and you'll influence the technical direction of the team. You'll partner closely with senior engineers, applied scientists, and product leaders to translate customer and business needs into robust, scalable systems. You'll raise the bar through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers. We expect you to identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive them to completion - not just execute on well-defined tasks. Your work will have high visibility across the organization. You'll operate with significant autonomy, own critical components of the Customer360 platform, and be accountable for their operational excellence. You'll contribute to our technical roadmap and help shape how Amazon builds its understanding of customers. If you want to own the systems that make Amazon truly understand its customers - and have the technical depth and ownership mindset to drive them forward - Customer360 is the place.
