More about the role We are looking for a seasoned Packaging Expert to own and drive our global packaging sustainability agenda, in line with PPWR, EPR, circular economy and other relevant legislation. In this role you will collaborate with global, cross-functional teams across the whole organization, as well as with external partners, to ensure achieving sustainability targets and compliance with relevant legislation. Key Areas of Responsibility Stay up to date with packaging legislation in different countries, and translate legislative complexity into clear strategy, ensuring timely compliance Lead end-to-end PPWR compliance program: monitor and interpret upcoming implementing acts, translate them into internal readiness plans, engage with cross-functional teams to ensure timely implementation Conduct compliance assessments across the full packaging portfolio (primary, secondary, tertiary, service packaging) and maintain a compliance status tracker Track EPR legislative developments in different countries and ensure timely packaging reporting preparation Drive packaging redesign initiatives to achieve sustainability targets, legislation compliance and minimize EPR fee exposure Provide expertise and guidance to different teams an all the above topics Benchmark Signify's practices against external peers and industry standards. Critical Experiences Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in different fields of packaging design & implementation A strong background in packaging sustainability, regulatory compliance, or a related field. Deep working knowledge of PPWR, EPR and sustainability strategies Experience in different fields of packaging design & implementation Strong communication abilities to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, and collaborate with multicultural, cross-functional teams A proactive, forward-thinking mindset + Fluent English Program management skills, ability to combine complex topics and translate it into clear plan Everything we'll do for you You can grow a lasting career here.
