About the role

Role Purpose The Delivery Manager is accountable for the successful execution of Intelligen's consulting engagements and the overall health of the delivery portfolio. This role ensures that projects are delivered successfully, clients receive exceptional outcomes, delivery risks are proactively managed, and delivery teams are supported to overcome obstacles and achieve success. As the leader of the delivery function, the Delivery Manager establishes and drives delivery excellence across the organisation through strong governance, consistent delivery standards, effective issue resolution, and a culture of accountability and collaboration. The Delivery Manager is also responsible for fostering a cohesive and high-performing delivery community, creating opportunities for consultants and delivery leaders to share knowledge, strengthen working relationships, and continuously improve the way Intelligen delivers for its clients. This role maintains an active client-facing presence through strategic consulting and delivery leadership engagements. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Governance & Delivery Excellence Establish and maintain delivery governance frameworks, reporting standards, and project controls. Monitor overall portfolio health, delivery performance, and risks, proactively intervening to ensure consistent quality and project success. Client & Stakeholder Management Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, providing executive sponsorship for strategic engagements. Ensure project outcomes align with client objectives and business value, while supporting teams in navigating complex client challenges. Operational & Commercial Performance Manage the delivery portfolio against financial, operational, and client success metrics. Support teams in balancing scope, budgets, and profitability, while identifying and mitigating commercial risks early. Capability & Culture Leadership Develop and improve delivery methodologies and standards. Foster a collaborative culture through forums, knowledge sharing, and mentoring, ensuring teams are equipped to resolve obstacles and maintain accountability. Strategic Delivery Contribution Maintain an active, hands-on client-facing presence (minimum 75% billable contribution) to provide strategic advisory, delivery assurance, and senior leadership on major engagements. What Success Looks Like Delivery Performance Projects consistently delivered within agreed scope, timeline, and quality expectations. Delivery risks identified and mitigated proactively, with minimal unplanned escalations. Project recovery activities successfully stabilise at-risk engagements. Delivery governance frameworks adopted consistently across all engagements. Client Success Client satisfaction scores maintained at agreed target levels across the delivery portfolio. Positive client feedback regarding delivery quality, communication, and outcomes. Strong client retention and expansion opportunities resulting from successful delivery performance. Delivery Culture and Practice Delivery teams actively participate in delivery forums, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Consistent delivery standards and ways of working adopted across the organisation. Strong collaboration between Delivery, Capability, Enablement, Sales, and People functions. Commercial Performance Delivery portfolio operating at target profitability levels. Scope and commercial risks effectively managed across engagements. Financial impacts of delivery risks identified and addressed early. Experience and Attributes Proven experience leading consulting, professional services, project delivery, or technology delivery teams. Strong background managing complex client engagements and senior stakeholder relationships. Demonstrated ability to lead delivery functions across multiple concurrent projects and clients. Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project profitability and delivery outcomes. Ability to influence and lead through collaboration rather than direct authority alone. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience establishing and improving delivery methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery standards.
