Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance services, including:
- Oil changes
- Oil, fuel, and transmission filter replacements
- Transmission flushes
- Inspections for mechanical deficiencies
- Execute light repairs as required based on inspection findings
- Perform repairs and maintenance based on certification level, including:
- OBD II systems
- Brake systems
- Tire services
- Tune-ups
- Suspension components
- Aerial lift systems
- Electrical systems
- State safety inspections
- Interior and exterior components
- Engine and drivetrain components
- Maintain and repair equipment such as:
- Cable trailers
- Laptop docking stations
- Assist with more complex repairs and advanced diagnostics as needed
- Perform moderate fabrication tasks, including:
- Equipment design
- Welding and custom modifications
- Troubleshoot and repair specialized fleet systems, including:
- Hydraulic systems
- Generators
- Electrical systems
- Hybrid vehicle systems
- Onboard computer systems
- Ensure operational readiness and availability of specialized fleet vehicles
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record
- Minimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experience
- Ability to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds (tools and equipment)
- At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
- Ability to obtain a minimum of four (4) ASE certifications within 18 months of employment
- Ongoing commitment to training and development to maintain ASE certifications and stay current with evolving automotive technologies
