Waste Contract Manager Witney/Agile £51,798 per annum 37 hours a week permanent We are seeking an experienced Waste Contract Manager to oversee waste collection, disposal and recycling contracts, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, sustainably and in compliance with environmental legislation. Working with partners, contractors and internal stakeholders, you will manage performance, monitor budgets, drive service improvements and identify opportunities to deliver value for money. You will be responsible for contract management, compliance, audits, reporting and supporting waste reduction and recycling initiatives. The role will also contribute to service transformation and organisational change programmes. The successful candidate will have experience in waste or contract management, strong knowledge of waste regulations and sustainability practices, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will play a key role in improving services, delivering value for money and supporting organisational change. You will need Degree in Environmental Science, Business Management, or a related field. Or 5 years' experience in a relevant field Proven experience in waste management or contract management, ideally within a similar industry (e.g., facilities management, construction, manufacturing). Experience negotiating and managing contracts and working with external service providers. Strong understanding of waste management processes, regulations, and best practices. Knowledge of environmental sustainability and waste reduction techniques. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to facilitate and manage ongoing change Excellent organisational and time management skills. Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Special Conditions You will be expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service. There may be a requirement to work at other locations to meet the needs of the business. Full UK Driving Licence. Ability to travel / access to a vehicle for work purposes.
