Technical Director - Construction Supervision

About the role

We are inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced professionals for a Technical Director - Construction Supervision role for upcoming major infrastructure projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership and direction across major infrastructure projects during the construction supervision phase
• Serve as the senior technical authority, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Lead technical reviews, design coordination, constructability assessments, and engineering solutions to complex project challenges
• Support Project Directors and Project Managers in delivering technically sound and commercially successful projects
• Oversee multidisciplinary engineering and construction supervision teams, ensuring consistency and quality across project deliverables
• Review and approve technical submissions, reports, methodologies, and key project documentation
• Interface with clients, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders on technical matters and provide expert advice when required
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of best practices across projects and teams
• Mentor and develop technical professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing
• Support business development activities, including technical proposals, bid submissions, and client presentations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline (Master's Degree preferred)
• Minimum 20+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, construction supervision, and project delivery roles
• Proven experience providing technical leadership on large-scale infrastructure projects, including transportation, roads, utilities, water, or urban development projects
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, construction methodologies, project delivery, and construction supervision practices
• Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinating with diverse stakeholders
• Experience working within international consultancy environments is highly desirable
• GCC and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia project experience is strongly preferred
• Professional registration, Chartership, or equivalent industry accreditation is highly advantageous
