Job Description: JOB OVERVIEW The Field Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for third-party supplier management across the automotive supply chain to ensure the logistical needs of the project are met. This role will be primarily focused on managing the repair and maintenance process for vehicles, ensuring efficiency and timely service. Key responsibilities include fleet management, vendor management, and process improvement. Occasional travel may be required (Less than 15% annually) and will be planned as needed to address critical issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Oversee national supply chain management related to vehicle procurement, repair, maintenance, and service providers. Work closely with third-party suppliers (OEM, equipment suppliers, transport vendors, repair vendors, etc.) to ensure efficient vehicle repair and maintenance processes. Manage reporting and status updates from third parties to provide updates to leadership and clients. Analyze vehicle repair and maintenance throughput for both OEM and third-party suppliers, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Identify potential process/production bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions. Meet with third-party supplier management teams to discuss performance and address areas of opportunity, with travel occurring only when necessary. Proactively work with suppliers to prevent delays and manage backlogs when they do occur. Develop creative solutions to ensure vehicles are processed efficiently through the supply chain. Partner with internal operations teams to collaborate on solutions and process improvements. Provide timely feedback to internal stakeholders related to third-party supplier performance. Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, client stakeholders, and internal teams. Deliver exceptional customer service to fleet drivers by addressing any escalated inquiries related to vehicle repairs and maintenance. Communicate with internal and extranal stakeholders as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Create ad-hoc reporting as required. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES This is an individual contributor role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Experience with SmartSheets, OneDrive, or Sharepoint preferred. Fleet operations experience preferred. Vendor management experience preferred.
