About the role
Reporting to the Manager of Oncology Pharmacy, the successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Oncology Team. Functions include preparation of chemotherapy, sterile & non-sterile preparations, inventory management, obtaining best possible medication lists from patients, refilling of automated dispensing cabinets, and extemporaneous preparations. What you bring: Licensed by OCP, education obtained from an accredited Pharmacy technician program (CCAPP accredited = Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs) Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians Demonstrated computer skills Demonstrated interpersonal skills, communication and teamwork Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic techniques, pharmaceutical arithmetic, and pharmaceutical terminology Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork Demonstrated individual leadership skills Experience in hospital Pharmacy preferred Experience in handling of hazardous drugs preferred Experience with aseptic technique preferred. Experience with Clinical Trials preferred. Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal Demonstrated analytical and problem assessment skills Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
