Safety and Occupational Health Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist in the Compliance and Quality Department of FLTREADCEN EAST. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Independently assess the status of each program assigned through audits, metrics and other evaluation methods. 2) Schedule OSH training, surveys of shops and offices to identify and evaluate risk potential in heavy Industrial shops. 3) Direct investigations of accidents, analyzing precipitating factors and accident cause data in order to develop specific method for prevention. 4) Develop and prepare command occupational safety and health instructions and regulations based on higher echelon command instructions and policies. 5) Experience with the storage, handling and disposal of toxic chemicals, compressed gases and flammable aviation fluid.
