Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll tax filings and payments across all U.S. jurisdictions (federal, state, and local)

- Lead year-end payroll tax activities, including W-2 balancing, validation, and distribution support
- Identify and implement process improvements, and contribute to SOPs and documentation to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive payroll tax experience in a complex, multi-state U.S. environment, supporting high-volume, multi-company organizations (5,000+ employees)
- Experience managing federal, state, and local tax registrations and account maintenance, including new entity setup and jurisdictional expansions
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll tax regulations and filings (e.g., Forms 941, W-2)
- Experience working with payroll tax vendors and payroll systems (Dayforce preferred), including tax setup, configuration, and issue resolution
- Understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance, with experience supporting audits and maintaining payroll tax documentation
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including payroll tax reconciliations and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to stakeholders and driving process improvements
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion
