Sr. Staff Engineer, Enterprise Browser

Join our Enterprise Browser team at Netskope, where we're pioneering the next generation of secure web browsing. The Enterprise Browser team is at the forefront of developing the Netskope Enterprise Browser, a critical tool designed to direct corporate traffic securely within our network. This browser integrates advanced features that enhance both security and productivity in a corporate environment. Leveraging our Next Gen Secure Web Gateway (SWG) and Security Service Edge (SSE) solutions, we bring these powerful capabilities directly to the browser, ensuring a seamless, secure, and controlled browsing experience-all within a single cloud platform. Safe sites are allowed, malicious sites are blocked, and user actions are carefully managed.

Responsibilities

• Modify and enhance the Chromium engine to support new features.
• Using advanced data structures and algorithms in C++
• Researching optimization algorithms and improving performance
• Solving problems with quick and elegant solutions
• Required skills and experience
• 3+ years of experience in Chromium environments.
• Strong C++ design and software implementation skills.
• Excellent debugging, memory profiling and performance testing skills.
• Experience programming multi-threaded solutions and knowledge of synchronization techniques.
• Good understanding of memory management and runtime optimization.
• Experience developing complex products with many components.
• Unit testing knowledge, proponent of TDD is a big plus.
• The ability to coach, mentor and encourage growth and career progression of team members.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate in an open, transparent and consistent manner with team and co-workers.
• A can-do attitude and ability to roll up your sleeves and respond to the needs of customers proactively and promptly.
• Education
• BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
