Reporting to the Production Manager at our Indianapolis, IN bakery manufacturing plant, local producers of Marie Callendar pies, you will lead team members through the plant's process improvement opportunities and manage production team members to attain production and quality goals. You will identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues. Ensure production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available to maintain production schedules. Third Shift approximate expected hours : Sunday-Friday 10:30pm - 7:30am. 6-day work week. How Will You Affect our Business? Monitor production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained. Lead team in tracking and understanding goals, Gap Analysis, and creating action plans to address performance gaps. Provide resources and training to employees to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities. Troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis. Enforce plant rules, regulations and procedures. Support plant and company safety programs, promoting a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment and confined space entry. Do You Have What It Takes? 3+ years supervisory experience. Experience working in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of GMPs, plant equipment and safety High school diploma or GED Relocation assistance is available for this position. Preference will be given to local candidates. Physical Requirements This role requires regular talking and hearing; frequent standing and walking; and occasional sitting, hand use, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, and smelling. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, plus focus adjustment. The work environment may be noisy with varying hot and cold temperatures. Reasonable accommodation may be provided. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
