Diesel Mechanic - Afternoon shift

Responsibilities

• Maintaining vehicle records by accurately completing all job sheets for inspections, servicing, and repairs
• Servicing and maintaining vehicles and equipment in line with company policy and vendor programmes
• Carrying out vehicle and body/unit servicing in accordance with our Preventative Maintenance Programme
• Promoting and maintaining safe working practices at all times
• Manage job processing through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Requisition of necessary repair parts and consumables.
• Perform daily checks of all Vehicle Workshop tools and equipment to ensure they are serviceable and accounted for.

Requirements

• A Level 4 Heavy Diesel Trade NZQA Certificate or an equivalent international qualification recognised by NZQA as Level 4
• Over 1 years proven experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of fleet trucks
• Preference will be given to those with over 1 years' experience in hydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance and/or automotive electrical/electronic fault diagnosis
• Over 1 years proven experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an advantage but not essential
• A Class 4 Driver's Licence is a strong advantage
• What we offer you:
• 45 hours per week (Mon-Fri), with occasional Saturday work. Hours: 2pm-11.30pm
• Competitive hourly rate of $40 - $43
• Location: East Tamaki, Manukau, Auckland
• Permanent Full Time Position
