Quantity Surveyor (Metal Works)

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) to support project budgeting and planning
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials and labor to ensure precise resource allocation
• Manage claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts to maintain project financial control
• Verify technical drawings, material orders, and fabrication works to ensure compliance with project specifications
• Coordinate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and production teams to facilitate smooth project execution
• Prepare and update fabrication drawings using AutoCAD to support manufacturing and construction processes
• Required competencies and certifications
• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in metal works
• Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office software
• Familiarity with cost estimation, contract administration, and variation claims processes
• Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities
