  • Professional software engineering experience in adversarial abuse including account security, fake accounts, and/or scraping
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 7+ years in an architect or technical leadership position
  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical or quantitative discipline.
  • Prior expertise in anti-automation
  • Experience developing large scale systems
  • Experience leading cross-organization, cross-functional efforts and successfully delivering transformational technology for hard problems

The Trust organization is seeking a Principal Staff Software Engineer who is an expert in adversarial abuse to provide technical leadership for the Anti-Abuse Engineering team. The mission of the Anti-Abuse team is to build trust in every interaction on LinkedIn. The team uses a wide suite of state-of-the-art techniques to identify patterns in large-scale attacks and prevent and mitigate abuse proactively. Through their deep domain expertise and technical judgment, this engineering leader will be responsible for leading the effort of building systems that can stay ahead of attackers in an adversarial space.
