Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks associated with harvest, conditioning and treat/packaging, some general repair and maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
  • Harvest activities from receiving to storage driving a vehicle
  • Conditioning activities such as cleaning and sizing, treating and packaging, palletizing, wrapping and sampling
  • Shipping/receiving, interplant movement, rework, warehousing, and inventory management of bagged and bulk seed, including the safe operation of forklifts
  • Compliance with work instructions and quality plan requirements
  • Complete and maintain appropriate records, documents, or reports such as quality, safety, grower, and inventory records
  • Education:
  • You have your High School Diploma/GED.
  • What Skills You Need:
  • Previous experience or knowledge in production agriculture, operations, manufacturing, or related industry
  • You are comfortable with technology and possess a good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company-specific applications as required
  • You have a valid Canadian driver's license
  • You can work independently as well as in a team environment
  • You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to adjust to quickly changing conditions and anticipate needs
  • You value health and safety! You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you, and your colleagues, go home safely every day
  • You can work night shifts and extended hours including weekends during peak seasons to support production demands.
  • What Makes You Stand Out:
  • Two-Year Technical or associate's degree in agriculture, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field
  • You have one (1) year of education and/or experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or related industry
  • General knowledge and/or experience with field and/or agriculture equipment (plows, tractors, forklifts, etc.)
