We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in San José, Costa Rica. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, managing complex accounting processes, and providing crucial support to the financial management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance, along with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. You will: Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, or NIIF standards Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries Oversee general accounting functions, providing support to financial management. Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual working papers Ensure standards and policies are adhered to, and internal controls are in place to support accounting processes and Sarbanes Oxley requirements Maintain a thorough understanding of Costa Rican tax regulations, auditing requirements, and fiscal laws. Ensure compliance with Free Trade Zone regulations Manage and analyze cash flow, providing insights and recommendations to optimize it Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements Utilize and maintain accounting software, ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations You have: 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, treasury, cash flow management, or finance Proven experience in financial reporting, account reconciliations, and closing processes Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, NIIF), tax regulations, and financial compliance Proficiency in accounting software Advanced cash flow management expertise Knowledge of taxation, auditing, fiscal regulations, and Free Trade Zone laws Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills Leadership and teamwork abilities Effective communication and time management Financial analysis and strategic decision-making Acts with integrity and responsibility in fund and asset management Familiarity with foreign currency transactions is a benefit B2 English Level
