Employment Type Full Time Job Summary INFRASTRUCTURE INSPECTOR (Wastewater Collections) Pay range: $23.75/hour to $26.49/hour, depending on experience The City of Olathe is currently accepting applications for an Infrastructure Inspector. As an Infrastructure Inspector, you'll play a key part in making sure important wastewater collections infrastructure within the City of Olathe functions properly. Do you want more out of your day than just punching a clock? We're looking for a self-starter who has a passion for continuous learning. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to learn about and care for maintain our collection system. We want you to apply that knowledge to help prevent infrastructure failures. A typical day in this role includes routine prep work as you get ready for your day, using highly technical equipment utilizing CCTV equipment to view sewer lines with a camera, entering your findings into our system Cartegraph, Wincan, EnerGov and GIS, sending out related tasks for follow up, responding to citizen requests, or odor complaints, and locating services, assistance to other departments, among other things. Qualified candidates have: Previous plumbing or similar experience in Wastewater Collections Comfort with advanced knowledge of computers and technology within the Wastewater Collections field This position requires you to obtain a Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsement, along with a DOT medical certificate, within six months of being hired. You'll participate in the City's CDL Training Program. We help set you up for success! Passing the test is your responsibility but we have trainers available to help you every step of the way.
