Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
  • Current CRNA certification and Ohio APRN licensure (or eligibility).
  • Pediatric experience preferred but not required - comprehensive orientation and support provided.
  • Choose 32 to 40 hours/week
  • At least 50% of scheduled shifts must be either 10-hour (07:00-17:30) or 12-hour (07:00-19:30) shifts.

  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preoperative Assessment/Evaluation - Conduct preoperative evaluation.
  • Equipment - Prepare appropriate equipment for administration of anesthesia. Process involves, but is not limited to, checking machines, appropriate small equipment, blood pressure cuffs, endotracheal tubes, and drugs for the conduit of anesthesia. Report any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Research - With the approval of the Department of Anesthesiology's Research Committee, direct and/or facilitate the development of research projects within the Department and/or the Medical Center. Adhere to all CCHMC and regulatory requirement with respect to the conduct of research activities.
  • Scope for subspecialty role will not exceed the scope of the collaborating or supervising MD

  • Masters degree in related field. May require clinical license, certification or training OR Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree
