About the role

This position is located in the National Firearms Trafficking Center, National Security Section and other various divisions and branches within the Office of Intelligence Operations located in Washington, DC performing work in the collection, analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of information on conditions, trends, and forces in foreign and domestic areas that directly or indirectly affect the national security. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience must include all of: Collecting, evaluating, analyzing various types of intelligence data and/or disseminating intelligence information using a variety of intelligence-gathering methods to support investigative operations; AND Preparing and presenting briefings on a variety of intelligence topics to other law enforcement and intelligence agencies and organizations; AND Utilizing advanced computer operations, intelligence collection and storage to maintain intelligence collection databases; AND Reviewing data and producing intelligence reports from various sources.
