Responsibilities

  • Design and experimentally test novel protein scaffolds, leveraging structural modeling, rational design, and/or directed evolution

  • Key Qualifications
  • Ph.D. (with 2+ years of industry experience) or Masters (10+ years of industry experience) in protein biochemistry, molecular biology, computational protein design, computational biology, or a related field
  • Proven track record of drug development in the form of patents and first author publications.
  • Hands-on experience in protein production, purification, and biophysical characterization - candidates without direct bench experience will not be considered
  • Expertise in protein engineering, structural biology, and structural modeling/visualization
  • Experience with SPR, ITC, KinExa, and related techniques
  • Experience designing antibodies, nanobodies, and therapeutic proteins
  • Proficiency with ML tools for computational protein design (e.g., AlphaFold, RosettaFold, ESMFold, ProteinMPNN, RFDiffusion, Chroma, IgFold, DeepAb, Parapred)
  • Ability to move fluidly between technical detail and high-level strategic context
  • Strong communicator and collaborative team player with keen attention to detail
