Budget Stewardship & Fund Management : Lead the management of large-scale budgets and funding utilisation, ensuring compliance with public sector financial requirements, liquidity planning, and disciplined allocation of resources. Financial Reporting & Strategic Planning : Oversee organisation-wide budgeting, retained earnings reporting, and periodic financial reporting to senior management, committees, and external stakeholders. Audit & Compliance Management : Lead engagement with internal and external audit bodies, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and strengthening organisational controls and resilience. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership : Partner senior stakeholders across agencies and leadership teams to support strategic initiatives, governance priorities, and long-term financial sustainability. Key Requirements Degree in Finance or Accountancy with a recognised professional accounting qualification. Minimum 10 years of senior finance leadership experience within public sector environments, including budgeting, financial reporting, and governance oversight. Strong understanding of public sector financial governance frameworks, budget requirements, and audit standards. Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across complex organisational environments.
