Responsibilities

  • Imaging AI Roadmap & Planning
  • Support the composition and ongoing maintenance of the imaging AI roadmap, including priorities, scope, sequencing, and dependencies.
  • Translate strategy and scientific concepts into clearly defined initiatives with goals, high‑level milestones, and success criteria.
  • Monitor and report on roadmap progress, ensuring priorities are aligned and clearly communicated across teams.
  • Capability Catalog, Re‑Use & Scaling
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date catalog of imaging AI models and capabilities, including usage, performance characteristics, limitations, and regulatory considerations.
  • Identify and promote opportunities to generalize, standardize, and re‑use imaging AI solutions across studies, indications, and clients.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Commercial teams to package capabilities into clear offerings and value propositions.
  • Opportunity Identification & Future Shaping
  • Facilitate intake of new imaging AI ideas and requests, ensuring sufficient context for evaluation and prioritization.
  • Help develop business framing and success criteria, including expected impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Propose and shape pilots, proofs of concept, and exploratory initiatives that can mature into roadmap items.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Contribute to client meetings, RFP responses, questionnaires, and due‑diligence activities involving imaging AI.
  • Translate complex imaging and AI concepts into clear narratives for sponsors, leadership, and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Collect and synthesize internal and external feedback to inform prioritization and roadmap evolution.
  • What We Look For
  • Master's degree or PhD in a medical, biomedical, or life sciences field with a strong focus on medical imaging.
  • Solid understanding of clinical trial processes and the role of imaging in clinical development.
  • Strong scientific mindset with grounding in statistics and study design.
  • Significant experience in medical imaging, imaging CRO, med‑tech, pharma, or health‑tech environments.
  • Exposure to AI/ML in imaging (e.g., segmentation, classification, quantification, QC, workflow automation).
  • Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and external clients.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Strategic yet pragmatic approach, balancing long‑term vision with near‑term delivery.
  • Technology fluency: basic programming literacy (e.g., Python) is a plus.

Clario, part of Thermo Fischer Scientific, is seeking an Imaging AI Innovation Specialist, a senior scientist with deep medical imaging expertise and strong product thinking, to work in close partnership with the Directors of Medical Imaging. In this role, you will help shape and maintain the Imaging AI roadmap, translate scientific and business needs into concrete initiatives, and drive cross‑functional execution so that Imaging AI capabilities become scalable, repeatable solutions across studies and clients.
