Job Summary The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, validation, and ongoing support of electrical systems for the company's industrial and smart product portfolio. Working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, the Senior Electrical Engineer partners with mechanical, electronics, software, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver reliable electromechanical products. This position requires strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, practical problem-solving capability, and working knowledge of electronics and system integration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead electrical engineering activities for new product development and product sustainment initiatives from concept through production release. Design and develop electrical systems and assemblies for industrial, electromechanical, and smart connected products. Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable and harness documentation, and bills of materials. Support the design and integration of power distribution systems, controls, sensors, motors, solenoids, switches, relays, and related electrical components. Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, firmware, software, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure successful system integration. Support prototype builds, testing, debugging, and validation of electrical systems and assemblies. Troubleshoot product issues during development, production, and post-launch phases, and drive timely resolution. Develop and execute verification and validation plans to confirm product performance, reliability, and compliance requirements. Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes to improve product quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency. Manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously while meeting schedule, budget, and performance expectations. Maintain technical documentation and support product lifecycle management processes. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to product performance, field issues, and engineering efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution. 5- 8 years of relevant engineering experience in product development, electrical systems, or electromechanical equipment. Strong experience in electrical system design, including component selection, schematics, wiring, controls, testing, and system integration. Experience working with industrial, electromechanical, or smart connected products. Knowledge of electrical components including sensors, relays, contactors, switches, motors, solenoids, and power supplies. Ability to calculate requirements for batteries, RFID readers and antennas, motors, sensors, and LEDs. Basic electronics knowledge, including familiarity with low-voltage circuits, PCB-based assemblies, and electrical/electronic interfaces. Proficiency in creating electrical layouts using CATIA, Altium, and Visio. Experience troubleshooting and validating electrical systems in prototype and production environments.
