About the role

My client is seeking a dedicated and student-centred Student Management Coordinator to support the school's student management, behavioural support, and student development initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with school leaders, teachers, counsellors, students, and parents to foster a safe, supportive, and conducive learning environment. Responsibilities

  • Student Discipline and Behaviour Management
  • Support the school's student management and discipline framework.
  • Supervise detention, reflection sessions, and restorative practices for students with behavioural concerns.
  • Provide in-class support to teachers in managing students exhibiting challenging or disruptive behaviours.
  • Assist in fact-finding investigations relating to student incidents and behavioural cases.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions, and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor students with recurring behavioural concerns and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with parents and guardians on routine behavioural matters when required.
  • Support the implementation of restorative and developmental approaches to behaviour management.
  • Student Support and Intervention
  • Coordinate and facilitate after-school programmes for students requiring additional behavioural, social-emotional, or academic support.
  • Develop and conduct activities that promote resilience, positive behaviour, self-management, and student engagement.
  • Build positive relationships with students to strengthen their connection to school and enhance their overall well-being.
  • Work closely with teachers and school personnel to identify and support students who may benefit from intervention programmes.
  • Collaboration and Programme Support
  • Partner with the School Counsellor and relevant staff to plan and deliver student support initiatives.
  • Support social-emotional learning, behavioural intervention, and resilience-building programmes.
  • Contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach involving teachers, counsellors, school leaders, and parents.
  • Assist in monitoring programme effectiveness and recommending improvements.
  • Operational and Administrative Support
  • Provide operational support during student-related incidents and periods of high demand.
  • Support school-wide student management initiatives, events, and activities.
  • Maintain student management databases and records.
  • Prepare reports, case summaries, data analysis, and documentation as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Youth Work, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working with children, youths, or in an educational environment will be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to engage students positively while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Comfortable handling behavioural and student management matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and administrative record-keeping.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a school environment.

Additional Information

Nearest MRT: Bedok MRT Station Employment Type: 5-months Contract Basic Salary: $40 per hour Working Hours: 8am - 4pm (Weekdays only)
