POSITION SUMMARY: The Value Stream Manager is responsible for the operation of one of the Value Streams at our plant in West Chester, PA. Key deliverables for this position include managing the cross functionalities of the Value Stream teams and supervising the cells to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established for Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost (SQDC). Strong leadership skills and effective use of the Regal Business System (RBS) tools to continually improve the team's performance is a critical part of this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned. Lead the cross-functional team to focus on the critical few and achieve customer success. Responsible for end-to-end management of the value stream of materials and its products, meeting customer demands. Hire the right fit for staff and direct labor. Conduct performance assessments for current employees and evaluate new hires introductory period. Create and execute daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to meet or exceed on-time delivery and past due expectations. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date revenue forecast for the Value Stream. Responsible for managing resource capacity and availability for the Value Stream, including direct labor, materials, and machines. Work closely with Maintenance to ensure high equipment uptime via preventative maintenance and effective problem-solving. Report on-time delivery (OTD), Past Due, Yield, Inventory, and other SQDC KPIs. Manage and develop Manufacturing Engineers to achieve KPIs (e.g., scrap, yield). Drive sense of urgency and effective problem-solving to identify root cause and build sustainable countermeasures to meet KPIs. Supervise team members in a fast-paced, multi-shift, unionized manufacturing environment. Spearhead cross-training initiatives and manage the training matrix and short- and long-term resourcing plan for your value stream. Enforce work rules and policies across all functional areas and its associates. Able to provide and receive feedback in correlation with associates. Act as a manufacturing liaison for the engineering change order (ECO) process. Utilize the Regal Rexnord Business System methodology to continuously improve our processes; via Daily Management and by leading and facilitating Kaizen events. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Master's in Business Administration preferred 5 years of management or supervisory experience Experience working in a Quality Management System preferred (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100) Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience preferred (e.g., Oracle, SAP) Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Willing to travel up to 10%, including internationally
