About the role

We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer Client Environment & Mobile Devices to support, operate, and further develop our Client Environment and Mobile Device services. This role is central to ensuring a reliable, secure, and efficient client landscape across mobile platforms, traditional clients, and virtual workspaces. Operate and further develop the Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform with a strong focus on Apple, iOS, and JAMF. Define and maintain configuration profiles, security baselines, compliance controls, and enrollment processes for mobile devices. Ensure secure, stable, and user-friendly lifecycle management of mobile devices Collaborate with external partners and vendors to enhance MDM functionality and optimize related processes. Oversee system management platforms (e.g., Landesk) to support patching, software distribution, and update lifecycle activities. Operate and further develop the Intune endpoint management platform for all mobile devices incl. hand held scanners on the shopfloor Contribute to modernization, harmonization, and automation initiatives within system management. Ensure system and patch management processes comply with security and corporate standards. Manage packaging, testing, and deployment of software across heterogeneous client environments. Work closely with external partners to ensure efficient software packaging and high-quality releases. Maintain documentation of packaging standards and continuously improve packaging workflows. Support and optimize macOS, Windows, and VDI client environments. Participate in architecture reviews and propose improvements across client technologies. Coordinate with external service providers for L2/L3 operations and ensure alignment with internal service expectations. Monitor and improve service performance, reliability, and overall user experience. Act as an architectural point of contact for client and mobile services within the team. Ensure service designs align with security, compliance, and operational guidelines. Support long-term roadmap planning and harmonization across client and mobile services. Solid experience in IT infrastructure or client engineering roles, ideally with exposure to both mobile and desktop environments. Good understanding of Apple/iOS ecosystems, JAMF, and general mobile device management concepts. Experience with system management, patch management, and software deployment tools (Landesk experience is a plus). Familiarity with software packaging, client automation, and lifecycle processes. Technical knowledge across macOS, Windows, and VDI platforms. Ability to oversee architectural aspects in collaboration with partners and internal stakeholders.
