Budget Specialist II (National Center for Infrastructure Transformation - NCIT)

Responsibilities

• Monitor all cost sharing (PVAMU Partner) accounts to ensure that the Office of Institutional Research and Office of Sponsored Programs is reporting all data and identify other cost sharing sources (in case of shortfall).
• Participate in staff development training workshops and courses to improve skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of related experience.
• Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Strong demonstration of verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong demonstration of interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform standard office functions.
• Ability to frequently communicate with other individuals within the workplace.
• Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Special Requirements:
• Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college

Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funded.
