• The Assistant Director, Fitness & Wellness plans, coordinates, and implements various fitness and wellness programs for students, faculty, staff, and community members in collaboration with the Campus Recreation fitness
• and wellness team and across Student Affairs departments. The Assistant Director is responsible for developing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating a comprehensive Group Fitness, Personal Training, and Wellness Program for Campus Recreation at Georgetown University.

• Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, human/sport science, physical education, or recreation management
• 3-5 years of experience in a recreational, fitness, or wellness field - preference for experience overseeing recreational sports, fitness, and wellness programs
• Certification from an accredited organization such as ACE, AFAA, ACSM, Mad Dogg Athletics and/or NASM in related program areas
• Certification in CPR/First Aid within 60 days of hire
• Knowledge and experience with safety and risk management regarding a recreational/fitness setting
• Demonstrated knowledge and physical ability to lead fitness-based activities and training
• Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, organization, management, leadership
• Proven commitment to student and staff development and customer service
• A demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and meet deadlines
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a goal-oriented team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
• Motivation and energy for leading program operations to the next level
