The role focuses on providing industry-relevant teaching and assessment in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, supporting students to develop practical skills, technical capability, and professional readiness for the engineering sector. The successful candidate will be an Engineering professional with qualifications in Engineering or a related field, with preference given to candidates holding a Master's or PhD qualification. Candidates will demonstrate teaching experience within Higher Education (HE) and/or Vocational Education (VE) environments, with the ability to deliver engaging, student-centred learning experiences. The position requires the delivery of associate degree in engineering technology and competency-based training and assessment aligned with vocational education standards, including curriculum development, student support, and continuous improvement activities. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is essential for this role. A proof of enrolment is required if Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is not yet awarded. The VE Teacher will work collaboratively with academic teams and industry stakeholders to ensure programs remain contemporary, practical, and aligned with industry expectations, contributing to RMIT's commitment to excellence in applied and vocational education. To be successful in this position, you'll have: Demonstrated skills and experience in grading and competency-based assessment. Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed. Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position. Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions. Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
