About the role

The Opportunity: The incumbent is accountable and responsible for sales operations and collections in the assigned territory to achieve targeted sales volumes, value, and net contributions through the promotion and sale of lab consumables. Requirements

- Identify the right set of customers, promote products, and achieve sales goals for the given territory for glassware, plasticware, and the complete consumables portfolio of VWR.
- Develop channels for sales and promotion while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage key accounts and work closely with channel distributors to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Develop new business within the assigned geographic territory and with designated clients.
- Implement business strategies successfully to drive profitable sales growth.
- Follow up diligently on leads received from other areas of the organization.
- Be responsible for the preparation of sales forecasts.
- Function as a segment expert; understand market issues and trends impacting the designated segment.
- Identify new key accounts, distributors/channel partners, and direct trade opportunities.
- Coordinate market development activities, including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, monitoring competitors' products, and mapping and managing key accounts.
- Conduct market surveys to assess product potential and competition market share.
- Provide pre-sales and after-sales support, including product education and advisory services.
