About the role

Albany Medical Outpatient Physical Therapy is looking for a motivated and collaborative Physical Therapist to grow its team! Our facility provides a large open gym space, private treatment rooms, and state-of-the-art equipment including the Bioness Vector, Bioness L300 Cuff, Bioness BITS, Radial Pressure Wave, and much more. Areas of clinical specialty skill or interest in Neurology and Vestibular Rehabilitation are encouraged but not required. Staff experienced in providing care in areas of Pelvic Rehabilitation and Lymphedema are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • One (1) year clinical experience preferred in Outpatient Physical Therapy setting, but not required. Specialty or Board Certifications in varied Physical Therapy areas preferred but not required. New graduates welcome!
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Include but are not limited to the following:
  • Examine patients' medical histories and can test and measure the patients' strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.
  • Apply diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Interpret, plans, establish and implement treatments.
  • Advise, consult, and teach appropriate treatment procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Develop plans describing a treatment strategy, its purpose, and its anticipated outcome.
  • Develop and analyze reports and data necessary for unit operations.
  • Complete and maintain necessary paperwork/case documentation to ensure accountability.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend workshops, conferences, and classes to increase professional knowledge; serve on committees as assigned.
