Job duties include, but are not limited to: Our LVTs play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and excellent client service. Responsibilities include client communication (in person and over the phone), appointment check-in and check-out, phlebotomy, catheter placement, cystocentesis, animal restraint, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and performing treatments during appointments. We're looking for a candidate with strong computer skills and a passion for customer service. The ideal technician is professional, friendly, curious, reliable, and eager to learn and grow within our practice. Punctuality, responsibility, and a collaborative mindset are essential. We're looking for: A licensed veterinary technician. An active license in the state of New York is required for this position. 6+ months experience working as a veterinary technician. Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work. Rotating Saturday availability. Computer skills a must! We are a paperless practice! Pays attention to detail and is a fast learner. Triaging patients over the phone and during office visits. Educating clients on routine vaccine protocol and preventions. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely in person and on the phone. Interpret medical records and record client history accurately. Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow. Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner. Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin. Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs. Proficient in anesthesia preparation, induction, monitoring, and recovery Patient care for hospitalized and surgery patients. Filling medications as instructed by the veterinarian. A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one's knowledge and skillset. Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency.
