Assistant Facilities Manager

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise in at least one area of building trades and/or construction.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to look at a lot of different information and make decisions based on needs and budget concerns.
• Attention to Detail. Quality control is a large part of the job. Making sure cleaning, upkeep and safety standards are maintained , or efficiencies are discovered, is key.
• Adaptable-adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established schedules and deadlines. Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficientl y.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills and is effective work ing across all cultures .
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and manage stress effectively in a demanding and fast paced environment .
• Outstanding verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to deal with a wide variety of callers , clients and staff.
• Strong written communication skills required . Must be able to write clearly and concisely. Proficiency in grammar and spelling required .
• Ability to present issues , options, and recommendations in a concise and efficient manner.
• Ability to direct the work of others by generating standard supervisory tools, including project plans, punch lists, check lists, and performance reviews.
