About the role
Reporting to Head of Product Delivery (Asia), this position is responsible for providing direction and support to project managers and implementation specialists located in key Asia regions to ensure successful and timely launch of operations that meets customer requirements. The role is responsible for applying expert knowledge of project management by allocating resources based on project demand and ensuring profitability of the projects. Proactively lead the identification, design and implementation of process improvements. The Asia Implementation Manager is empowered to make tactical day-to-day and long-term strategic decisions and is accountable for all activities performed by the team. The incumbent will also need to recruit and train staff to supplement existing team to ensure seamless implementation of projects to support all operational LOBs and regional projects as needed. The incumbent may be asked to act as the Implementation leader in one or more of our projects. In this capacity, the Asia Implementation Manager would be the on-site contact and escalation point for all team members in that project, regardless of direct reporting structure. Operational - Actively engage with new business scoping and estimating activities, including providing resource estimates and capacity management oversight. - Support the scoping of projects by providing project resource estimates that represent the level of effort required to support the projects/initiatives. - Manage team allocation by ensuring that each associate has a manageable workload and reallocating resources as needed. Monitoring and managing team headcount to functional budget. - Develop relationships across the organization and listen to the needs of internal and external customers. Cultivate open communication with customers, and business partners to identify opportunities to improve processes and methodologies. - Manage relationship with senior client contacts and other leadership to provide key leadership and oversight to large client implementations. - Provide leadership to multiple implementations and facilitate the cross-project / cross-functional team to develop and implement solutions to address our clients' requirements. - Propose business process improvements through workflow analysis methods to support system developments throughout all business capabilities. Enforce adherence to quality procedures. - Drive the successful completion of technology projects and manage the impact of implementing technology enablers on organizational operations. - Deploys an Asia structure, methodology and tools that will support multiple implementation models relevant to project requirements. - Supports customer acquisition activities. Leadership and Direction - Through an exemplary leadership, develop a culture of Accountability by setting and managing clear objectives and KPIs. Establish clearly defined goals, objectives, responsibilities, competencies, and development plans for each member on the team. - Develop a strong leadership bench strength and ensure business continuity by implementing a working talent management and succession plans. Maintain Financial Performance - Ensure the achievement of financial and business objectives and goals across all department teams. - Effectively manages department budgets and takes appropriate actions to control and reduce costs and optimize investments. - Uphold and enforce the Company's financial standards and policies. General Experience - Relevant and proven experience in a similar capacity with a global MNC and related industry. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple resources across multiple locations who are working on complex projects and tasks simultaneously. - Formal Qualification in Project Management methodology, Process Improvement, Lean Six Sigma and Analytical Tools will be of great advantage. - PMP certification is preferred. Previous implementation and project management experience is required. - Ability to foster and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders, resources, management, support staff, and third-party vendors. - Ability to multi-task in a challenging, fast paced, matrix management organization. Ability to make decisions based on a broad range of issues, within and outside the control of the day to day working environment. - Proven ability to contribute to strategic plans, transform them into projects & initiatives, prioritize and implement them.
