Specialty Barista

Responsibilities

• Prepare specialty coffee and handcrafted beverages to meet quality standards
• Perform daily espresso calibration and adjust grinders to ensure optimal extraction
• Maintain consistency in coffee extraction and beverage quality through precise techniques
• Create clean and consistent latte art to enhance customer experience
• Keep the coffee station clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Support café service efficiently during peak periods
• Recommend beverages and engage customers warmly to enhance satisfaction
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, and café supplies to ensure availability
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and uphold high service standards
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Experience in specialty coffee or café environment
• Knowledge of espresso extraction and calibration
• Ability to texture milk and perform latte art consistently
• Passion for coffee and delivering excellent customer experience
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with manual brew methods
• Coffee recipe development skills
• Ability to train junior staff
• Knowledge of grinder maintenance and coffee workflow
