About the role

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Center on Ellsworth AFB. This position is regular part time. You are guaranteed 20 hours, however, could work up to 40 hours. As a regular employee you are eligible to earn leave and other NAF Benefits. Must be able to frequently lift, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally, objects weighing over 50 pounds. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel and gasoline powered engines which included the full range of repairing, disassembling, troubleshooting and overhauling of these engines, and provide all of the following: Knowledge of the makeup, operation, and installation of complex major systems and assemblies to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems or to rebuild one or more systems; knowledge to test and troubleshoot components and systems to locate equipment defects; ability to interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics and engineering drawings, diagnostic codes, computer printouts, and safety manuals; and the ability to operate electronic test equipment.
