About the role

As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people to achieve their goals, improve their wellbeing and build greater independence. Key Duties Deliver person-centred, strengths-based support tailored to individual needs. Support people to improve their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Help individuals develop independent living skills, including budgeting, accessing services and engaging with their local community. Encourage choice, control and active involvement in decision-making. Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and organisational policies. Assess and manage risk, following safeguarding, health and safety procedures. Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes. Contribute positively to team meetings, handovers and the day-to-day running of the service. Maintain professional boundaries and uphold the organisation's Code of Conduct. About You We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting people to make positive changes in their lives. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build trusting relationships and a person-centred approach to support. You will be confident working independently as well as part of a team, with strong organisational and record-keeping skills. Ideally, you will have experience supporting vulnerable people or those with complex needs, and an understanding of how to promote independence and wellbeing. A qualification in Health & Social Care, Mental Health, Substance Misuse or Recovery Support would be advantageous, although not essential.
