Responsibilities
- Using a combination of sweeping, vacuuming, extracting, spot washing; damp mopping, dusting or polishing, the Housekeeping Aide will clean the following:
- Housekeeping Aide will clean the following:
- 1.1 Resident's rooms and bathrooms; including light fixtures, walls
- and floor surfaces.
- 1.2 All common areas of Facility; e.g., lounges, public washrooms,
- etc.
- 1.3 Offices, Conference Room, Multipurpose Room, Quiet room, etc.
- 1.4 Parkade
- Empties garbage cans in resident's rooms, washrooms and offices.
- Vacuums draperies
- Cleans carts and equipment.
- Reports equipment/furnishings, etc. repairs and maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
- Skills and Abilities:
- 2.1 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- 2.2 Ability to deal with others effectively.
- 2.3 Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- 2.4 Ability to organize work.
- 2.5 Ability to operate related equipment.
