Responsibilities

• Using a combination of sweeping, vacuuming, extracting, spot washing; damp mopping, dusting or polishing, the Housekeeping Aide will clean the following:
• Housekeeping Aide will clean the following:
• 1.1 Resident's rooms and bathrooms; including light fixtures, walls
• and floor surfaces.
• 1.2 All common areas of Facility; e.g., lounges, public washrooms,
• etc.
• 1.3 Offices, Conference Room, Multipurpose Room, Quiet room, etc.
• 1.4 Parkade
• Empties garbage cans in resident's rooms, washrooms and offices.
• Vacuums draperies
• Cleans carts and equipment.
• Reports equipment/furnishings, etc. repairs and maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education and Experience:
• Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Skills and Abilities:
• 2.1 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• 2.2 Ability to deal with others effectively.
• 2.3 Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• 2.4 Ability to organize work.
• 2.5 Ability to operate related equipment.
