Responsibilities

- Position and immobilize patients precisely and reproducibly for each treatment fraction in accordance with the radiation oncologist's setup instructions
- Coordinate daily anesthesia scheduling to align with the radiation therapy treatment calendar
- Assist with CT simulation setup and patient positioning for treatment planning scans
- Maintain thorough and accurate anesthesia and patient records within the oncology information system
- Communicate patient status, concerns, and changes to the oncology team and client services staff in a timely manner
- Radiation Safety & Compliance
- Follow all radiation safety protocols including proper use and monitoring of personal dosimetry badges
- Adhere to ALARA principles and institutional radiation safety policies at all times
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations regarding controlled substance handling and documentation
- Maintain and perform basic troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment; report malfunctions promptly
- Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in good standing - this is a firm requirement; applications without a current RVT license will not be considered
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on clinical experience running anesthesia independently in a veterinary setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in small animal anesthetic induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery
- Strong working knowledge of multiparameter anesthetic monitoring equipment
- Experience managing anesthetic emergencies and critically ill patients
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform consistently in a high-stakes, repetitive clinical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills within a specialty care setting
