THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This ND National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, Position Description Number D1063000 and is part of the ND AVIATION 2, National Guard. NDNG Areas of Considerations (T32 Excepted Service) ***Area I: All onboard NDARNG Federal Employees (Tenure 1 & 2)*** Area II: All onboard NDARNG Federal Employee (Tenure 3) Area III: All NDNG military members Area IV: All Military Members Area V: All U.S. Citizens MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted COMPATIBILE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: ECMF: 15, 91, 92, 94 QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess the experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to use hand tools and test equipment, the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess the required 36 months of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft; 2) Experience scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow; 3) Skill to serve as the technical authority to advise on, examine, and approve all airframe, mechanical, electrical, and pneudraulic repairs of assigned aircraft. Airframe and Powerplant Certification preferred.
