Marine Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical structures, pressure housings, and actuation systems for AUV/ROV platforms.
• Perform structural analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to optimize performance in marine environments.
• Develop prototypes and oversee testing (pressure, corrosion, fatigue) .
• Collaborate on electronics packaging and thermal management solutions.
• Ensure design for manufacturability and assembly in collaboration with production engineers.

Requirements

• Experience : Minimum 5-7 years in mechanical design, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software) .
• Experience with marine materials (6061-T6aluminum, PEEK, stainless steel, composites) .
• Familiarity with pressure vessel design ,underwater connectors, and sealing technologies.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping (machining, 3D printing).
• Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or related field .
• Industry Experience : Required - direct experience with AUV/ROV/UUV or subsea robotics systems .
