Responsibilities
- Perform daily P&L, cash, and position reconciliations, including overseeing commission accruals and payments utilizing a vendor-based clearing system

- Perform cash and collateral management functions, including submitting various bank opening documents, rebalancing cash accounts, updating cash flow projection, monthly bank reconciliations, and capital fund inflow registration
- Preparation of net worth certificate, financial statements, and directors' report submissions at bi-annual/annual intervals to the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI)
- Prepare other ad hoc reporting as required by SEBI, banks, and exchanges
- Assist in the infusion and repatriation of capital
- Assist in the creation and design of automated reports requested by management
- Work with relational databases and set up reports using simple SQL queries
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and an excellent understanding of Indian GAAP
- Understanding of US GAAP is a plus
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting with an entity regulated by SEBI
- Strong Excel skills, VBA/SQL experience preferred
- Big 4 or large international firm experience a plus
- Excellent cross-functional communications skills, including fluency in English
- Meticulously detail-oriented
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Willingness to travel periodically to HRT's NYC office for training
- Ability to take calls during US business hours, arranged in advance, as needed

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Finance Associate to join our Accounting team in Mumbai. This role will support various accounting functions across the company such as fund accounting, management reporting, tax reporting and analysis, trading P&L reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
