Job Description Job Summary: To complete development activities required to meet overall requirements in support of IT Service Management Initiative. Development activities are directly related but not limited to JavaScript development for the ServiceNow platform customization and should be completed within expected delivery dates while adhering to all Invesco development standards. Your Role: This role will work with the IT Service Management Process leadership and Business Analysts team to develop technical solutions that satisfy the business needs of the Technology organization and other departments seeking to use ServiceNow internally. You Will Be Responsible For: 1. Complete all tasks related to technical analysis, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle. 2. Always conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined. 3. Review, discuss and work within agreed timescales and feedback to project managers any variances arising as tasks are performed. 4. Understand client business and make recommendations and technology suggestions to solve problems and improve efficiency. 5. Understand architecture of applications in order to effectively troubleshoot problems and develop more efficient production processes. 6. Be prepared to carry out business analysis tasks to ensure that the development/change meets user requirements and expectations. 7. Prepare for and support user acceptance testing. 8. Perform quality assurance tests on the work of other developers. 9. Prepare all necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems. 10. Communicate with internal and external customers, supervisors and management using clear, user-friendly terminology (emails, phone, meetings etc.). 11. Assist project managers and line managers in producing estimates for the development phase of projects and enhancements. 12. Provide On-Call support for systems based on agreed coverage timeframe. 13. Handle general updates and configuration changes/requests 14. Facilitate rollout of new applications and modules 15. Customize ServiceNow applications as suggested by Process Owners/Business Analysts. 16. Ensure latest release of ServiceNow application is implemented in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to IT operations 17. Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions in Service Now. The Experience You Bring: 1. Minimum of 5 years of proven systems development experience using structured methods 2. Design and develop Service Now modules / applications 3. Knowledge of AJAX, CSS, HTML, DHTML, XSL, and JavaScript 4. In-depth knowledge of the technical implementation of various ServiceNow modules such as Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Catalog, Configuration Management, Reporting, LDAP, SSO, MID Server, Inbound emails, Discovery / Service Mapping, Service Portal. 5. Service-Now customization including, but not limited to: Client Scripts, UI policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Business Rules, workflow administration, report setup, data imports. 6. Experience on Integration technologies such as Web Services, LDAP, SOAP, HTTP, MID Server, Orchestration and third-party software integrations. 7. Software development methodologies 8. UML modeling 9. Understanding of relational database design and development life cycle principles 10.
