Shipping Supervisor - Day Shift

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Shipping and Receiving required.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong emphasis on computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel).
• Strong mathematical and organization skills.
• Ability to use and learn Warehouse Management System.
• Must be dependable and hold an above average attendance record.
• Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective Communication Skills to lead, motivate, coach, mentor and resolve employee conflict.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Previous experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Continuous learner and willingness to embrace change.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.

Purpose Reporting directly to the Shipping Manager & indirectly to the Plant Manager, the Shipping Supervisor is responsible for properly shipping and receiving product to and from our customers. The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for following established food safety and quality procedures.
