Requirements
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience.
- In lieu of Bachelor's degree, Highschool Diploma and nine (9) years of experience can be considered.
- Masters degree in Project Management or Business Administration
- Professional Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Associate of Project Management
- Additional Certifications: Utility Technical Certifications/Training, Construction Management Institute International (CMII) Certification
- Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient to demonstrated Expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
- Project related work experience; Risk Management, Project Leadership, Strong Collaboration, Oversight

- Hybrid Mobility Classification - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility

Project Manager II (PM-II) position has single point accountability or can be under general direction of a Project Director or PM Manager. PM-II position is responsible for management, or assisting management, of all phases of project planning and execution to ensure project success factors are met. These include but are not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. The position is typically assigned a portfolio of "White" or "Green" ranked projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Risk-Informed Project Ranking Process. Higher ranked projects with greater risk may also be assigned when accompanied with an Enhanced Support and Oversight Plan (ESOP). The position is accountable for managing the planning and execution of capital projects within the Storm Protection Plan (SPP) portfolio. This role requires strong program management capabilities to support the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with regulatory commitments, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. This position plays a critical role in supporting the safe and reliable execution of the Storm Protection Plan program, helping strengthen system resiliency across Florida while delivering high-quality transmission and substation infrastructure projects.
