Responsibilities

  • Transaction Execution
  • Support the execution of M&A transactions, including both sell-side and buy-side mandates for SMEs in Singapore and Malaysia
  • Responsible for specific M&A transaction workstreams, including transactions materials preparation, financial analysis, valuation, outreach to prospective bidders, data room management, due diligence coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Leverage AI-assisted research tools for market screening and information gathering, while applying independent analytical judgement to validate assumptions and refine outputs
  • Deal Origination & Business Development
  • Support deal origination efforts across referral networks, industry associations, and the firm's Japan corridor
  • Maintain and manage a live target universe, utilising AI-enabled tools to identify and prioritise outreach opportunities
  • Contribute actively to the department's business development initiatives
  • Marketing Materials & Analysis
  • Prepare high quality marketing and transaction materials, including industry research, sales teasers, information memorandum, term sheets, and due diligence documentation/preparation/coordination
  • Support organisation and coordination of meetings, roadshows and investor engagements
  • Use AI tools to enhance research efficiency and first drafts, complemented by critical thinking and professional judgement
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Support client engagement through preparation of materials, analysis, and meeting coordination
  • Liaise with clients, investors, and professional advisors to facilitate smooth information flow and deal progression
  • Tools & Workflow Enablement
  • Effectively utilise financial databases (e.g. Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ) and AI tools to support analysis and execution
  • Contribute to improving team workflows, templates, and AI-assisted practices
  • Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related disciplines from a reputable university
  • Professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CVA, CPA) are advantageous
  • 4-6 years of relevant M&A experience, preferably within Singapore or the region, with strong exposure to financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and transaction documentation, experience in multi-party deal management is preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Excellent project management and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with AI tools in a professional setting is an advantage
  • Familiarity with financial data platforms (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or equivalent)
  • Willingness to travel when required
