Senior Site Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee NDT testing, soil density testing, and rebound hammer tests onsite, ensuring accurate test arrangement, execution, and reporting
• Analyze test data and provide expert counsel to coworkers and customers for critical decision-making
• Manage compliance with SINGLAS accreditation requirements and maintain laboratory inspection readiness
• Review construction drawings and technical specifications to draw informed testing conclusions
• Deliver formal and informal presentations on testing results to diverse stakeholders
• Review test reports to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards are consistently met
• Develop and deliver technical training materials to laboratory colleagues to enhance team capabilities
• Apply advanced testing methods, procedures, and materials to conduct thorough analysis
• Competencies and qualifications
• Working knowledge of construction site and laboratory safety practices
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Possession of Class 3 driving license
• Minimum 7 years of experience working in a testing laboratory environment
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Material Science and related field
• Deep knowledge and critical understanding of civil engineering theories, concepts, and terminology
• Demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element's business
